Livingston speaking in New Orleans at NCLGS meet this week
Randy Livingston will represent EPIC when The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) hosts the second in its series of panels dealing with athletics and gaming.
Player harassment, influencers and mental health issues will all be topics for the ‘Special Committee on Education’ when attendees hear straight from Randy and other star athletes and influencers at the NCLGS Winter Meeting, December 12-15 at Caesars New Orleans.
Former college and NBA basketball player Livingston – who was a legendary high school player in Louisiana – says: “As someone who’s seen the evolution of both athletics and gaming, it’s critical we address how expanded gaming intersects with player welfare.
“Athletes already face immense pressure, and the rise of sports betting introduces new challenges, including harassment and mental health impacts. Thoughtful legislation and proactive regulation are essential to safeguard athletes while promoting responsible gaming practices.”
Livingston’s panel will take place on Friday, December 13 at 3.10pm, where he’ll be joined by Eric Froton (Lead College Football Analyst, NBC Sports), DeShawn Hanika (Tight End, University of Kansas) and Dan Trolaro (formerly of EPIC, now Co-Managing Director of Education & Training, IC360).
