EPIC’s psychological safety at work recognized by ISO 45003 certification
As a people first organization, EPIC Global Solutions are pleased to be awarded ISO 45003 Certification for Psychological Health and Safety at work.
EPIC’s people-first approach is already validated by the recent award of Investors in People Platinum status, and by values that staff live and breathe on a daily basis. This is now backed up by recognition from the first global standard giving practical guidance on managing psychological health and safety at work.
There are four key areas of focus which are: Risk Management, Prevention and Intervention, Employee Involvement, and Continuous Improvement. ISO 45003 provides guidance around psychosocial risks, protecting the psychological welfare of our people, and nurturing their mental wellbeing.
Louise Flynn, Head of HR, comments: “Psychological Safety is essential for employees at any organization, and I feel there’s an increased significance for EPIC given the nature of what we do and the percentage of our employees who have lived experience of gambling-related harm. This accreditation reinforces our commitment to our people and acknowledges EPIC as a safe and supportive workplace”.
By successfully applying for ISO 45003 status, EPIC have been validated in areas such as effective management of mental health risks, enhanced engagement and increased innovation, legal compliance, improved recruitment, retention and diversity, and improved business resilience with fewer absences from stress, burnout, anxiety and depression.
