EPIC contribute to Harvard University research paper
EPIC Risk Management are proud to have been able to contribute to a recent research paper conducted by the prestigious Harvard University. The study, funded in full by EPIC, looks at the association between gambling and athletic participation in the US.
Through harm prevention programmes, strategic advisory, and training, EPIC’s mission is to take the problem out of gambling. Their aim is to help people make better-informed decisions and remain safe from gambling-related harm.
Anca-Maria Gherghel, research manager at EPIC shares her thoughts on the study and the opportunity to partner with an Ivy League research university such as Harvard.
“At EPIC we know the value and importance of research. Knowledge is key when it comes to better understand gambling-related harm and the impact that it can have on people’s lives. By better understanding the correlation between gambling and athletic participation in the US, we can pro-actively look at what more we can do to prevent gambling harm in the future”.
The research paper, published by International Gambling Studies, is available to access online.
