Colleges invited to ‘Know Your Play’ as responsible gaming education platform is explained via webinar

Colleges across the US are being invited to understand the benefits of engaging with the new EPIC-driven ‘Know Your Play’ responsible gaming education platform via an explanatory webinar on Wednesday March 26 (noon ET / 9am PT).

Targeted at college-age students across the country, the new website at knowyourplay.org has been created to help them navigate responsible gaming, financial literacy, mental health, and well-being,with the benefits of the service being explained via the live broadcast, timed to be part of March’s Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

Know Your Play has been funded by the Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA), whose executive director, Dr Jennifer Shatley, is the principal guest on the broadcast, so that she can outline why colleges should sign up to share the resource with their students, the resources it can provide and how it can contribute to the wider pastoral support that colleges provide to the students in their care.

Having been developed in partnership with EPIC Global Solutions, Kindbridge Behavioral Health and the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC), the webinar will be hosted by EPIC’s SVP North America Teresa Fiore, who played a leading role in coordinating the development of the platform and can provide further insight into how best to utilize the resource.

“This new platform potentially makes advice regarding key student topics like responsible gaming and sensible financial choices available to every college student in the US,” explained Fiore.

“We urge any staff in pastoral care or student wellbeing roles at colleges to join us for this informative webinar, so that they can understand the benefits of promoting Know Your Play to the students on their campus, especially while various forms of wagering are a hot topic during Problem Gambling Awareness Month.”

Shatley and Fiore’s insight into RG best practice remains in high demand, with the pair also set to share a platform at the NEXT.io Summit New York 2025 from March 12-13, when they will join Bob Michniak, Associate Director, RG Check, Responsible Gambling Council and Christina Theophilos, Head of RG, Tonybet, on the panel to discuss ‘Responsible Gaming on a Global Stage: Perspectives from Canada and the US’.
