The EPIC PGAM Podcast returns for a second episode
EPIC’s director of sports programmes Ben McGregor is the second guest to step into The EPIC PGAM Podcast’s hot seat as he provides a precis of how the company’s lived experience model stretches across the US sporting landscape and the impact it is having.
As a follow-up to our first edition which saw the NCAA’s Mark Hicks explain how our respective organisations are working in partnership to mitigate gambling-related harm among the competition’s student-athletes and staff, McGregor sets the scene for how we’re already utilising lived experience of gambling-related harm to try and mitigate future instances of the issue across the US sports landscape.
Having global oversight for EPIC’s work in all levels of sport, from professional and collegiate through to grassroots, he’s ideally placed to explain how the lived experience model is paying dividends for the sports that have chosen to embed it into their processes.
On the agenda, he and host Mike Huber – who has delivered his gambling story to many of the sporting institutions that come under discussion in his role as a programme facilitator with EPIC – shine a light on our relationship with the NCAA, player unions’ proactive approach to protecting players and raising awareness, and EPIC’s role with other leagues and organisations into the future.
