Responsible Gaming Education Month 2024 arrives… what does it mean for EPIC and its clients?
Every September, the US marks Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) to hail the ongoing advances in making the gambling industry as safe as it can be, but what does that entail for a company like EPIC Global Solutions and the clients it serves?
That’s a question that we’ll be answering throughout the month, as a busy period of engagement with gambling operators across the US will be accompanied by insight from our partners on how previous and ongoing lived experience-based education, training and consultancy helps those at the heart of the industry to understand gambling harm prevention from the perspective of those who have lived through it.
While EPIC conducts a special series of in-person and remote training sessions for industry executives throughout RGEM, the beneficiaries of the service will also be appearing across our social media platforms to explain the importance of safer gambling practices to their organisation and why they turn to EPIC to help raise awareness of them.
We’ll hear from key figures inside notable brands, as well as taking a closer look at what some of the training and development for their staff actually entails when we engage not just throughout this month of heightened activity, but year-wide.
“RGEM is a key month for the gambling industry in the US and we’re proud that we play an ongoing part in helping to create safer and more sustainable gambling environments,” explained Teresa Fiore, EPIC’s VP of partnerships.
“We’re undoubtedly much busier every September, because it’s a period of increased focus for the industry to remind their staff of the preventative steps we can all take to reduce the risk of gambling-related harm, but we’re proud that during this period, so many of our trusted partners are going on record to talk about the support and advice we provide to them throughout the entire year.”
