Player Protection Symposium unveils three headline sponsors
EPIC Risk Management are delighted to confirm three headline sponsors who will be supporting the upcoming landmark Player Protection Symposium in New York: Entain Foundation U.S., Sightline Payments and Sportradar.
The first-of-its-kind symposium is the result of a partnership between EPIC and SBC Events, bringing together 100+ C-level stakeholders from casino gaming, professional sports, media, and politics to ensure that such key decision-makers can discuss and work towards a robust gambling harm prevention ecosystem, not just in the growing U.S. betting market, but in the global territories they serve.
Held at Manhattan’s 40/40 Club on November 30, 2021, the invite-only event will feature keynote speakers and panels from agenda-setters including representatives of Major League sports, industry CEOs and leading innovators within the gambling ecosystem, with an introduction from renowned radio personality Craig Carton; co-host of the Carton and Roberts sports radio program on WFAN (AM).
The three headline sponsors that have been unveiled as key supporters in making the Symposium happen are all exemplifying their leadership in the crucial player protection space within the gambling and gaming industry by helping to make such important discussions take place between powerful influencers.
The main purpose of Entain Foundation U.S. is the coordination of Entain’s global corporate social responsibility initiatives with a specific approach to American issues, as well as distribution of donations to non-profit organizations with comparable causes. Martin Lycka, Senior Vice President of US Regulatory Affairs & Responsible Gambling for Entain Group, will be playing a pivotal role in the event as moderator of the ‘Emerging markets and protecting your brand and the consumer’ panel discussion.
Sightline is the U.S. sports betting and casino gaming market’s leading digital payment provider and mobile app developer. Jonathan Michaels, SVP, Strategic Development and Government Affairs at Sightline, will be a participant in a panel discussion regarding ‘Innovation in Responsibility’.
Sportradar is a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content for its clients around the world. Brandt Iden, Head of Government Affairs, US for Sportradar is also set to take part in the aforementioned panel discussion on emerging markets and consumer protection.
“The Entain Foundation US is very proud to be part of the Player Protection Symposium,” says Martin Lycka, Senior Vice President of US Regulatory Affairs & Responsible Gambling for Entain Group.
“The speakers line up is outstanding, the venue iconic and the topics absolutely critical to the long term sustainability of the US sports betting markets. We look forward to participating and building up on our already blossoming relationship with EPIC Risk Management.”
Omer Sattar, Co-CEO of Sightline Payments, is also honored that his organization is part of the first symposium of its kind, explaining:
“Sightline is proud to sponsor the inaugural Player Protection Symposium and commend EPIC Risk Management for hosting this important event.
“While legal, regulated gaming has continued its expansion, particularly online sports betting and online casino, the pandemic robbed us of the ability to bring together key stakeholders for discussions around best practices for protecting players.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the critical role that payments can play with leaders from media, sports, the gaming industry, regulators and player advocates.”
Sportradar have also underlined their commitment to ensuring that all gambling activities are undertaken in the safest possible environment, with Brandt Iden, Head of Government Affairs, US, adding:
“It’s an exciting time for our industry as a majority of states have taken legislative action to make sports wagering a reality. However, with new offerings comes the increased need for industry leaders and lawmakers to help protect those most vulnerable to addiction.
“This symposium brings thought leaders together from throughout the industry and Sportradar is honored to be involved.”
