ISO9001 certification extended for a fifth year
For a fifth consecutive year – but the first time in the name of EPIC Global Solutions – we have received confirmation of our ISO9001 certification: the ‘International Standard for Quality Management’.
Throughout a successful rebrand process in late 2023 to provide the organisation with a new identity for its second decade, there has been no let-up in EPIC’s commitment to high-quality processes and policies, which have been continuously monitored by ISO assessors.
The assessors undertake rigorous scrutiny of how the business continues to conform to the highest standards of quality in areas such as health and safety legislation, HR provision, customer focus and ongoing process improvement and performance evaluation.
Louise Flynn, head of business support, is one of two key members of the EPIC team – alongside director of operations Danielle Smith – who oversees the annual application, and she explained the level of detail that goes into the submission:
“We have to submit all kinds of evidence that shows that we are committed to the accreditation and what it entails.
“This year it was a lot more detailed about the processes within the organisation: how we manage risk, where we’re making continuous improvement and how we deliver good quality for our clients, including making sure that our employees are trained fully to deliver that quality of service.
“Going for ISO9001 certification every year helps our everyday business practices, because we’ve got to do ongoing audits against the standards.
“Every time we do an audit, we will look at the processes within the organisation to see if there are any gaps, or anything that we can be doing better, so it enable our subject matter specialists and operations team to work with everybody across the business to improve those processes and policies, and look at the gaps to see what we can do better.”
Reflecting on the repeat success, Smith added:
“We are delighted that the ISO assessors continue to recognise the effort that we make as an organisation to continuously monitor our approach and seek to achieve the highest possible operational standards, for the benefit of our clients and staff alike.
“At EPIC, we’re always seeking continuous improvement, driving up efficiency and skills by taking a people-focused approach, and this is reflected in our performance each year.
“Our thanks go to everyone involved in the process for their personal commitment to improve our standards alongside driving the purpose for doing what we do, which is to take the problem out of gambling for the benefit of audiences around the world, thanks to our lived experience based approach.”
