EPIC Global Solutions are an Investors In People Platinum status company
EPIC Global Solutions, a leading provider of solutions for gambling harm prevention, has recently been honoured with the Investors in People Platinum, the highest accolade that can be achieved with the global benchmark for people management.
Platinum is the highest level of accreditation possible to achieve in the ‘We invest in people’ accreditation and is currently held by only 6% of IIP accredited organisations. EPIC Global Solutions were commended for having robust policies and practices around supporting people that were embedded in every corner of the organisation.
EPIC’s director of operations, Danielle Smith, is proud of the accolade bestowed on the company, explaining:
“Investors in People is really a hallmark for EPIC. It’s an accreditation that really shows that people are our main focus. They’re at the heart of everything we do, our lived experience and non-live experience staff are our focus, and that we invest as much as we can in our people so we can get the right culture at EPIC.
“Ultimately that it’s a fantastic place to work, which is exactly what it is.”
EPIC Global Solutions is not just a business, but a socially driven and commercially sustainable one: EPIC has established itself as a leader in the industry with a strong focus on helping individuals and businesses avoid the destructive consequences of problem gambling through the power of lived experience.
EPIC CEO and founder, Paul Buck, added:
“What sets EPIC apart is the approach of using lived experience employees, who use their personal experiences of problem gambling to educate and prevent others from experiencing the same gambling related harm that they went through. It’s a people first business, and our people are at the heart of values and approach.
“The Investors in People Platinum accreditation is a well-deserved recognition of EPIC’s efforts and dedication towards creating an environment for people to thrive both professionally, but also to give others a second chance who might not have envisaged getting one.
“This accreditation is not handed out lightly and is only awarded to organisations that have excelled in their approach to people management and development.
“With this recognition, EPIC joins an elite group of organisations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to investing in their people.”
Receiving the Investors in People Platinum accreditation is a significant accomplishment for EPIC Global Solutions. It not only recognises their efforts in investing in their people, but also serves as a reminder of the importance of their mission.
Customer service excellence assessor Andrew Mackey, who adjudged EPIC Global Solutions’ Platinum status application for Investors In People, noted a number of ‘wow factor’ reasons for making the award to the company, explaining:
“EPIC recorded some incredibly positive survey results, with almost no negative responses from the staff that we spoke to. There is a huge sense of trust in the company’s staff, with people having freedom to deliver. They’re given real empowerment and are encouraged to challenge where necessary.
“Everyone I spoke to was really proud to work for EPIC and share a clear passion for what they do.
“There is a clear focus within EPIC on developing and maintaining a cultural approach that protects the status quo in the business and makes sure that people continue to be engaged, recognised and valued for their contribution, but also seen more holistically as people, each with a unique set of needs.”
“With this recognition, EPIC joins an elite group of organisations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to investing in their people.”
